Intake Manifold: Removal: Removal
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
Refer to PRECAUTION .
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1 .
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2 .
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3 .
- REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4 .
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5 .
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6 .
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7 .
- REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8 .
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2 .
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3 .
- REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4 .
- DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Release the claw and remove the EFI fuel pipe clamp.
- Pinch the retainer as illustrated, then pull the fuel tube connector out of the pipe.
NOTE:
- Remove any dirt and foreign matter from the fuel tube connector before performing this work.
- Do not allow any scratches or foreign matter on the parts when disconnecting, as the fuel tube connector has O-rings that seal the pipe.
- Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools.
- Do not forcibly bend, kink or twist the nylon tube.
- Protect the disconnected parts by covering them with vinyl bags after disconnecting the fuel tube.
- If the fuel tube connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull to release them.
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the 4 fuel injector connectors and the oil control valve connector.
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
- Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps and separate the wire harness.
- Disengage the clamp and separate the fuel tube sub-assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts and the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- Remove the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers.
- Remove the 4 injector vibration insulators.
- REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.
- Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.
- Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts and the intake manifold.
- Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket.
- Remove the No. 2 ventilation hose.
- Remove the bolt and the vacuum hose clamp.
- Disengage the hose clamp and remove the union to connector tube hose.
