DTC B2271: Ignition Hold Monitor Malfunction: Description

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the IG1 circuit, IG2 circuit or IG hold circuit in the power management control ECU is detected.

HINT: 

When the cable is disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, the power source mode returns to the state it was in before the cable was disconnected.

B2271 When either of the following conditions is met (1-trip detection logic*):
  • The IG1 or IG2 circuit in the power management control ECU is malfunctioning.
  • The IG hold circuit in the power management control ECU is malfunctioning.
  • AM2 fuse
  • Power management control ECU
  • Harness or connector
Turn the power switch on (IG).
HINT: 
To turn the power switch on (IG), carry the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly and press the power switch twice with the shift lever in P and the brake pedal released.

The power switch cannot be turned on (IG) (the EV control system cannot be started). The power source mode cannot be changed to on (IG).
