The protrusion of the cylinder head cover sub-assembly should overlap the paint mark of the hose.

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 2
  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
    NOTE:

Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle with motor body assembly or any throttle with motor body assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle with motor body assembly is cleaned.

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
      NOTE:

If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above step again.

    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Perform the "Inspection After Repairs". Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    4. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

      Standard

      Condition Engine Idle Speed
      A/C switched off 650 to 750 RPM

      HINT:

      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral.
      • Following a warm start (engine coolant temperature is 95°C or higher, and intake air temperature is 75°C or higher), the engine speed will be 1000 RPM for 4 to 5 minutes. When 4 to 5 minutes have elapsed after engine start, the engine speed will decrease from 1000 RPM to the standard idling speed over a period of about 3 minutes.
    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.
    6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.
    7. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
