Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the F34 yaw rate sensor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F34-3 (CANH) - F34-2 (CANL) Ignition Switch off 54 to 69 Ω
    4. Reconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO YAW RATE SENSOR (CAN-H, CAN-L) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IGSW, E1) 
    1. Disconnect the F34 yaw rate sensor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F34-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F34-4 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch on 11 to 14V
    4. Reconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL
