Rear Wheel Alignment: Inspection: Inspection

NOTE:

For vehicles equipped with VSC, if wheel alignment has been adjusted, and if suspension or underbody components have been removed/installed or replaced, be sure to perform the following initialization procedure in order for the system to function normally:

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for more than 2 seconds.
  2. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  3. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and test mode inspection. Refer to CALIBRATION .
  1. INSPECT TIRES 

    Refer to INSPECTION

  2. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT 

    See step  2

  3. INSPECT CAMBER 
    1. Install the camber-caster-kingpin gauge or set the vehicle on the wheel alignment tester.
    2. Inspect the camber.

      Camber (Unloaded Vehicle)

      Camber Right-left error
      -1°25' +/- 0°30' (-1.42°+/- 0.5°) 0°30' (0.5°) or less

      HINT: 

      Camber is not adjustable. If the measurement is not within the specified range, inspect the suspension parts for damage and/or wear, and replace them if necessary.

  4. INSPECT TOE-IN

    Toe-in (Unloaded Vehicle)

    B - A
    2.1 +/- 3 mm (0.0827 +/- 0.118 in.)

    If the toe-in is not within the specified range, inspect the suspension parts and replace them if necessary.
