Fuel Pump: Removal: Removal
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- REMOVE REAR SEAT UNDER TRAY COVER
- Disengage the 3clips, 3 guides and remove the rear seat under tray cover.
- REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 5 bolts and bench type rear seat cushion.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 15
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 16
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
- Remove the rear floor service hole cover.
- Disconnect the connector.
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
Refer to PRECAUTION
- REMOVE FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Widen the tip of the tube joint clip and pull out the clip.
- Pull out the fuel tank main tube to disconnect it.NOTE:
- Keep the O-ring free of foreign matter, as it becomes contaminated easily.
- Do not use any tools in this procedure.
- Do not forcefully bend or twist the tube.
- Put the tube in a plastic bag to prevent damage and contamination.
- If the fuel suction plate and tube are stuck together, pinch the tube and turn it carefully to disconnect it.
- Do not damage any clips. If a clip is damaged, replace it.
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP GAUGE RETAINER
- Using SST, remove the fuel pump gauge retainer.
- SST: 09808-14020
- 09808-01410
- 09808-01420
- 09808-01430
HINT:
Align the ribs of the fuel pump gauge retainer and the tips of SST.
- SST: 09808-14020
- Using SST, remove the fuel pump gauge retainer.

- Remove the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly.NOTE:
Do not bend the arm of the sender gauge.
- Remove the fuel suction tube set gasket from the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly.
