Front Seat Assembly: Installation: Installation

WARNING:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

HINT: 

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

    NOTE:

    Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.

    1. Insert the 2 locating pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the most forward position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.
    2. Install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.

      Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Move the front seat to the most rearward position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.
    4. Install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the rear side.

      Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.

      HINT: 

      If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, adjust the seat tracks by loosening the bolts.

    6. Connect the airbag connector.

    7. Connect the buckle switch connector.
    8. Engage the wire harness clamp.
  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

    NOTE:

    Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.

    1. Insert the 2 locating pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the most forward position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.
    2. Install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.

      Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Move the front seat to the most rearward position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.
    4. Install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the rear side.

      Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.

      HINT: 

      If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, adjust the seat tracks by loosening the bolts.

    6. Connect the airbag connector.

    7. Connect the front seat wire connector.
    8. Engage the wire harness clamp.
  3. INSTALL SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER 
    1. Engage the claw and install the seat track inner bracket cover.

  4. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER 
    1. Engage the claw and install the seat track cover.

    2. Tighten the screw.
  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
