Engine Control System (Service Information): ECM: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL ECU BRACKET 
    1. Install the ECU bracket onto the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Temporarily install the ECM with the 5 bolts.

      NOTE:

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

    2. Tighten the 4 bolts A to the specified torque. Then tighten bolt B to the specified torque.

      Bolt A 

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      Bolt B 

      Torque: 13 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Engage the clamp and connect the wire harness to the ECU bracket.
    4. Pull down the lever to engage the lock and connect the 2 connectors to the ECM.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet.
  4. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to PRECAUTION
