Brake Actuator: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the brake actuator to the bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m ( 55 kgf*cm, 48 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

    1. Install the brake actuator with bracket with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 19 N*m ( 194 kgf*cm, 14 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.
      • Install the bolts and nut in order shown n the illustration.
    2. Connect the brake actuator connector.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the lever is locked securely.

    3. Using SST, connect the 6 brake tubes to the correct locations on the actuator, as shown in the illustration.
      • SST: 09023-00101

      Torque: 14 N*m ( 145 kgf*cm, 10 in.*lbf) 

      with SST

      Torque: 15 N*m ( 155 kgf*cm, 11 in.*lbf) 

      without SST

      HINT: 

      Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).

  3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT UNIT RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  7. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL  . Refer to REASSEMBLY - Step 6
  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH 

    Torque: 103 N*m ( 1,050 kgf*cm, 76 in.*lbf) 

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  10. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID  . Refer to BLEEDING - Step 1
  11. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER  . Refer to BLEEDING - Step 2
  12. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE LINE  . Refer to BLEEDING - Step 3
  13. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR  . Refer to BLEEDING - Step 4
  14. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE 
  15. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH TECHSTREAM 
    1. Check the brake actuator with the Techstream. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .
  16. ADJUST VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 1
  17. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (Using Headlight Tester)  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 2
  18. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (Using Screen)  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 3
  19. INSPECT HEADLIGHT AIMING  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 4
  20. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 5
