Inspection Procedure

1. Remove the back door lock (see REMOVAL  ).
2. Check operation of the door courtesy switch.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance (Courtesy switch) 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   1 - 3	Lock	10 kΩ or higher
   1 - 3	Unlock	Below 1 Ω

4. Reinstall the back door lock (see INSTALLATION  ).

NG: REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK  (See REMOVAL  )

OK: Go to Next Step 

1. Disconnect the 4A main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
2. Disconnect the O3 back door lock connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   4A-7 (BCTY) - O3-3 (D+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   4A-7 (BCTY) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   O3-1 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

4. Reconnect the back door lock connector.
5. Reconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
