Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (See PRECAUTION ).

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Push in the lock button of the front seat headrest support and remove the front seat headrest.

  3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (for Driver Side)  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  8. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (for Driver Side)  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  9. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB (for Driver Side)  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the seat position airbag sensor.

    2. Remove the front seat back band.
    3. Disengage the 2 hooks and separate the front seat cushion pad.
    4. Remove the buckle switch connector.
    5. Disengage the 2 wiring harness clamps.

    6. Disconnect the wiring harness from the claw of the front seat cushion shield.
    7. Disengage the wiring harness clamp.
    8. Remove the bolt and the front seat inner belt.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

    2. Remove the wiring harness from the claw of the front seat cushion shield.
    3. Disengage the wiring harness clamp.
    4. Remove the bolt and the front seat inner belt.
