Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  13. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the EFI fuel pipe clamp.

    2. Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the injector connector and camshaft oil control valve connector.
    2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
    3. Separate the wire harness.

    4. Separate the fuel tube sub-assembly.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the delivery pipe sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the No. 1 delivery pipe spacer.
    7. Remove the 4 insulators from the cylinder head.

  15. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Disconnect the ventilation hose.

    2. Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold.

    4. Remove the ventilation hose.

    5. Remove the bolt and remove the vacuum hose clamp.
    6. Remove the union to connector tube hose.

    7. Remove the throttle hose.
