Front Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR

    1. Install the speed sensor onto the steering knuckle with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Check that the speed sensor tip and installation portion are free of foreign matter.
      • Install the speed sensor without turning it from its original installation angle.
    2. Engage clamp C onto the shock absorber.
    3. Install the No. 1 sensor clamp onto the shock absorber with the bolt.

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: The bolt tightens the flexible hose and front speed sensor together. Make sure that the flexible hose is positioned over the front speed sensor.
    4. Install the No. 2 sensor clamp onto the body with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

    5. Engage clamp B onto the body.
    6. Connect the speed sensor connector.
    7. Engage clamp A onto the body.
  2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MUDGUARD  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf) 

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  6. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
