Typical Enabling Conditions

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS CHART

Monitor runs whenever the following DTCs are not present P0128 (Thermostat)
P0136, P0137, P0138, P0139 (HO2 sensor)
P0171, P0172 (Fuel system)
P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 (Misfire)
P0420 (Catalyst)
P0505 (Idle speed control)
P050A (Cold start strategy)
P2195, P2196(A/F sensor)
P2237, P2238 (A/F sensor)
P2A00 (A/F sensor)

M/T: 

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS CHART

Battery voltage 8 V or more
Ignition switch ON
Starter OFF
ECT 70°C(158°F) or more
Engine speed 2, 000 to 4, 500 rpm
Engine load 33.7% or more
ECT sensor circuit fail Not detected
MAF sensor circuit fail Not detected

A/T: 

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS CHART

Battery voltage 8 V or more
Time after ignition switch turned to the ON position 3 seconds or more
Transmission counter gear speed 300 rpm or more
Engine Running
Either of the following conditions (a) or (b) is met: -
(a) The following conditions 1 and 2 are met: -
1. ECT and ECT sensor 20°C (68°F) or more, and sensor does not malfunction (P0115 or P0116)
2. Time after PNP switch turned off 2 seconds or more
(b) The following conditions 1 and 2 are met: -
1. ECT and ECT sensor Less than 20°C (68°F), and sensor malfunction (P0115 or P0116)
2. Time after PNP switch turned off 30 seconds or more
