Back Door Lock: Inspection

  1. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the operation of the door lock.
      1. Using a screwdriver, move the latch to the full-latch position.
      2. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check the operation of the latch.

        OK 

        VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+)→ Terminal 4
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3        		 Latch turns to open-latch position

        If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.

      3. Measure the resistance of the back door lock connector.

        Standard resistance 

        RESISTANCE REFERENCE

        Tester Connection Door Lock Latch Condition Specified Condition
        2-1 Open (ON) Below 1 Ω
        2-1 Full (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.
