Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Inspection

INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

Standard resistance

FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (LH) (FOR DRIVER SIDE)

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
1 - 2	Fasten seat belt	1 MΩ or higher
1 - 2	Release seat belt	Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

Standard resistance

FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (RH) (FOR FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
1 - 2	Fasten seat belt	1 MΩ or higher
1 - 2	Release seat belt	Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

INSPECT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ASSEMBLY

Apply battery voltage to the warning lamp terminals and check warning lamp operation as shown in the table and illustration.

PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ASSEMBLY OPERATION REFERENCE

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → Terminal 20 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 35	Illuminates

NOTE:

Apply protective tape to the battery leads to avoid contact with other terminals.
Disconnect the battery's negative (-) terminal cable immediately after the light illuminates.

If the result is not as specified, replace the A/C control assembly.
