Typical Enabling Conditions

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS

Monitor runs whenever the following DTCs are not present P0120 - P0223, P2135 (TP sensor)

M/T: 

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS

Battery voltage 8 V or more
Ignition switch ON
Starter OFF
ECT 70°C(158°F)or more
Engine speed 2,000 to 4,500 rpm
Engine load 33.7 % or more
ECT sensor circuit fail Not detected
MAF sensor circuit fail Not detected

A/T: 

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS

Battery voltage 8 V or more
Time after ignition switch turned to the ON position 3 seconds or more
Transmission counter gear speed 300 rpm or more
Engine Running
Either of the following conditions (a) or (b) is met: -
(a) The following conditions 1 and 2 are met: -
1. ECT and ECT sensor 20°C (68°F) or more, and sensor does not malfunction (P0115 or P0116)
2. Time after PNP switch turned off 10 seconds or more
(b) The following conditions 1 and 2 are met: -
1. ECT and ECT sensor Less than 20°C (68°F), and sensor malfunction (P0115 or P0116)
2. Time after PNP switch turned off 30 seconds or more
