Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the room light switch to the DOOR position and open the driver side door. Then check that the room light illuminates.

      OK: Room light illuminates. 

    OK: Go to step   4 

    NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE) 
    1. Remove the courtesy light switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (DRIVER SIDE)

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - Body ground Not pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω
      1 - Body ground Pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D9 switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the 1A junction block connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      WIRE HARNESS STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D9-1 - 1A-21 (DCTY) Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the unlock warning switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (INTEGRATION RELAY) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the U1 switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the 1E junction block connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      WIRE HARNESS STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      U1-2 - 1E-26(KSW) Below 1 Ω
      U1-1 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  6. CHECK OPERATION OF INTEGRATION RELAY 
    1. After replacing the integration relay with a normally functioning relay, check that the power door lock operates normally.

      OK: Power door lock operates normally. 

    NG: REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 

    OK: NORMAL (INTEGRATION RELAY DEFECTIVE)
