Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch is ON).
      2. Measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance 

        SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 1,330 Ω
        A-1 - A-3 10 kΩ or higher
      3. Release the seat belt (buckle switch is OFF).
      4. Measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance 

        SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 330 Ω
        A-1 - A-3 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch is ON).
      2. Measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance 

        SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 1,330 Ω
        A-1 - B-2 10 kΩ or higher
        A-3 - B-1 Below 1 Ω
      3. Release the seat belt (buckle switch is OFF).
      4. Measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance 

        SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 330 Ω
        A-1 - B-2 Below 1 Ω
        A-3 - B-1 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

  3. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR 
    1. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

      Standard resistance 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      Apply more than 147 N (15 kgf, 33 lbf) to occupant detection sensor 100 Ω or lower
      Seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion pad.
