Floor Shift Assembly: Disassembly

REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
1. Disconnect the connector from the shift lever plate.

2. Remove the transmission control switch connector from the shift lever plate.
3. Disengage the secondary locking device.
4. Release the locking lug of terminals 2 and 4, and then pull out the terminals from the rear.

REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Separate the wire harness of the transmission control switch from the shift lever plate.
2. Remove the 2 screws and shift lever knob.

  NOTE: Be careful not to apply excessive force to the transmission control switch wire harness.
3. Remove the shift lever knob cover.
4. Remove the shift lever knob button and spring.
5. Detach the 2 claws and remove the transmission control switch.

REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR UPPER HOUSING
1. Remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator upper housing.
2. Remove the position indicator upper housing from the shift lever.
3. Remove the position indicator slide cover from the shift lever plate.
4. Remove the position indicator plate from the position indicator upper housing.

REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH
1. Remove the screw and shift lock control switch.

REMOVE SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID
1. Remove the shift lock solenoid from the floor shift.

REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the indicator light wire from the floor shift.

REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON
1. Remove the shift lock release button and spring from the floor shift.
