Front Seat Assembly: Disassembly

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the seatback spring and seat adjuster may injure your hands.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH
1. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Remove the 2 screws.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion shield.

  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH
1. Remove the clip and screw.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the cushion shield.

REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the hog rings.

2. Lift up the seatback cover and remove the hog rings.
3. Disconnect the clamp.

4. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
1. w/ Seat hook:
  Remove the screw and seatback hook.

2. Lift up the seatback cover to the top of the seat, and then detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

3. w/ Front seat side airbag:
  Using a screwdriver, pry out the hanger as shown in the illustration.
  
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the airbag.
4. Remove the hog rings and the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback spring.
5. Remove the hog ring and remove the seatback cover.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
1. Remove the hog rings.
2. Detach the claw of the front part of the seat adjuster.
3. Detach the hook and remove the seat cushion cover (with pad) from seat adjuster.
4. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.

1. Remove the screw and inside cover.
