- SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The key reminder system is a precautionary function that reminds the driver that the key is still in the ignition key cylinder. The system activates a built-in buzzer when the ignition switch is OFF, the key is in the ignition key cylinder and the driver door is opened.
- SYSTEM FUNCTION
- The combination meter commands the driver circuit to sound a built-in buzzer when the following 3 conditions are met: 1) the ignition switch is turned OFF: 2) the combination meter receives an unlock warning switch signal from the ignition key cylinder indicating that the key is inserted, and: 3) the combination meter receives a driver side door open signal from the front door courtesy light switch.
