Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DLC3 
    1. Measure the resistance according to DLC3  .

      Result: 

      DLC3

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Proceed to
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-14 (CANL) Ignition switch OFF 108 to 132 Ω A
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-14 (CANL) Ignition switch OFF 132 Ω or higher B
      NOTE: When the measured value is 132 Ω. or more and the CAN communication system DTC is output, there may be a fault other than the disconnection of the DLC3 sub bus line. After repairing the trouble area, perform the HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  procedures .

    1. B : REPAIR OR REPLACE DLC3 SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL) 
    2. A : GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. READ OUTPUT DTC 
    1. Read the output DTCs.

      Standard: 

      DTC OUTPUT

      Output DTC Proceed to
      U0121/94 (C1223/43), U0123/62, U0124/95 (C1223/43) and U0126/63 are output simultaneously. A
      Only U0126/63 is output. B
      NOTE: DTCs other than the CAN communication system DTCs (U0121/94 (C1223/43), U0123/62, U0124/95 (C1223/43), U0126/63) may be output simultaneously.
    1. B : Go to step   4 . 
    2. A : GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  3. CHECK CAN MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (SKID CONTROL ECU - JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the S1 skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to SKID CONTROL ECU - JUNCTION CONNECTOR  .

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - JUNCTION CONNECTOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S1-11 (CANH) - S1-25 (CANL) Ignition switch OFF 108 to 132 Ω.

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    2. OK : REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU WITH ACTUATOR (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. CHECK CAN MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (STEERING SENSOR - JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the S15 steering sensor connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to STEERING SENSOR - JUNCTION CONNECTOR  .

      Standard: 

      STEERING SENSOR - JUNCTION CONNECTOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-10 (CANH) - S15-9 (CANL) Ignition switch OFF 108 to 132 Ω

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR - JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    2. OK : REPLACE STEERING SENSOR (See  STEERING SENSOR (W/ VSC)  )
