TPMS Reminder Reset - Procedure 04

NOTE: Reset is NOT required if re-inflating tires to the currently specified tire pressure.
NOTE: Perform the tire pressure warning system initialization when the following operations have been performed:
  • Tire pressures have been adjusted to be different from the currently specified tire pressure
  • Tires or wheels have been replaced
  • Tires have been rotated
  • Brake actuator disconnected or replaced
  • Battery disconnected or replaced
NOTE: The Toyota Techstream scan tool can also be used to perform the system initialization.
  1. Adjust all four tire pressures to the specification while the tires are cold.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  3. Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch, at the lower left instrument panel, until the tire pressure warning light flashes 1 or 2 times and the indicator alarm sounds 1 time.
NOTE: When the tire pressure warning system initialization is performed, learning initiates. Learning is completed by driving the vehicle for approx. 20 min. While the tire pressure warning system is undergoing learning, its primary functions do not operate.
