Installation Procedure

  1. Install the back up lamp bulb/sockets (4) to the back up lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Bulb Replacement .
    2. IMPORTANT: Ensure the rubber grommet (2) attached to the back up lamp wiring harness is properly installed and sealed, in order to avoid water intrusion into the rear compartment and chafing of the wiring harness.
  2. Position the back up lamp (3) to the rear compartment lid.
  3. Install the back up lamp wing nuts (5).
  4. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the back up lamp wiring harness inside of the rear compartment lid.
  5. Inspect the back up lamp for proper operation.
  6. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  7. Close the rear compartment.
