Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during battery installation.
  1. Install the battery.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the front fender rear bracket.
  4. Install the front fender rear bracket to side rail bolts and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the front fender to front fender rear bracket upper (1) and lower (2) bolts and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  6. Install the positive battery cable (1).
  7. Tighten the positive battery cable nut to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
  8. Close the positive battery cable connection cover.
  9. Install the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Base) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Turbo) .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
