Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With LAT)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without LAT) .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LAT) or Drive Belt Replacement (LE5) .

  3. Disconnect the generator electrical connector (3).

  4. Reposition the generator terminal protective boot (3).
  5. Remove the generator terminal nut (2).
  6. Remove the engine harness terminal (1) from the generator.

  7. Remove the generator bolts.
  8. Remove the generator from the vehicle.
