Circuit/System Testing

Verify that DTC P0562 is set as current.
- If the DTC is history refer to Charging System Test (Solstice) or Charging System Test (SKY)
Engine running, measure the voltage at the battery terminals and compare it with the Ignition 1 Signal parameter. The battery and Ignition 1 signal readings do not differ more than 2 volts.
- If greater than the specified value, test the Ignition 1 circuits and ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  - Ignition 1 signal 2.0L X2 terminals 3 - 5 -6 and 54.
  - Ignition 1 signal 2.4L X1 terminal 19 - 20 and X2 terminal 13.
  - Ground circuits 2.0L X2 terminals 1- 2 and 4.
  - Ground circuits 2.4L X2 terminal 73.
If the circuits test normal, replace the ECM.
