Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment

  1. If equipped with NJ1 (Electronic Power Steering), and the steering angle sensor was recentered, the steering stops must be relearned. Refer to .
  2. Fig 1: Inner Tie Rod And Jam Nut

  3. Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position.
  4. Loosen the tie rod jam nut (1).
  5. Adjust the toe to specification by turning the inner tie rod (2). Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications .
  6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Tighten the tie rod jam nut (1) to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).
