Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ECM (2) to the ECM bracket.
  2. Install the ECM bracket (1) to the battery hold down bracket.

  3. Install the 36 volt positive battery cable retainer (4) to the ECM bracket.

  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (2) to the ECM.

  5. Connect the body wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the ECM.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (2.4L (LAT)) .
  7. Install the generator battery control module cover. Refer to Generator Battery Control Module Cover Replacement .
  8. Program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References .
