Preliminary Procedures

Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
Remove the wiper drive system module. Refer to Wiper Transmission Replacement .

Windshield Wiper Motor Bolt (Qty: 3)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten: 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

Windshield Wiper Motor Assembly
Tip:

Use the J 39232 Wiper Linkage Separator, or equivalent to separate the transmission arm from the wiper motor crank arm pivot.
Use the J 39529 Wiper Linkage Installer, or equivalent to install the transmission arm onto the wiper motor crank arm pivot.
