Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, remove the WPR 70 On/Off relay.
- Test for less than 5.0 ohms of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 85 and ground.
- If greater than 5.0 ohms, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition OFF, remove the WPR 52 high speed relay.
- Ignition ON, test for 0 volts between the wiper switch high signal circuit terminal 86 and ground.
- If greater than 0 volts, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the wiper/washer switch.
- Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the WPR 70 On/Off relay control circuit terminal 86 and ground.
- Momentarily activate the wipers to the MIST position. The test lamp should momentarily turn ON and OFF.
- If the test lamp is always ON, test the relay control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the body control module.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the relay control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the body control module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the C2 harness connector at the body control module.
- Wiper switch OFF, test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 57 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the WPR 70 On/Off relay.
