Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front wheel and tire assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (4 Lug Wheel) or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (5 Lug Wheel) in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the wheel driveshaft or intermediate drive shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement or Intermediate Drive Shaft Replacement in Wheel Drive Shafts.

  4. Use the SA9133T  in order to remove the seal. See Special Tools .
  5. Inspect the seal bore for nicks or for burrs. Clean the bore with a fine grade sandpaper, if necessary.
