Installation Procedure

  1. Move the stabilizer bar into position from the right side of the vehicle.

  2. Install the stabilizer bushings on the stabilizer bar with the cut line facing rearward.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the stabilizer bar clamps and bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 66 N.m (49 lb ft).

  4. Connect the stabilizer links to the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  5. Install the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Replacement in Power Steering.
  6. Install the rear transaxle mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Manual Transmission - Getrag 5 Speed or Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Manual Transmission - MU3 or Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  7. Install the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (5 Lug Wheel) or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (4 Lug wheel) in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
