Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Loosen the positive battery cable (1) bolt.
  3. Remove the positive battery cable from the battery.

  4. Remove the battery vent tube from the battery and grommet.

  5. Remove the battery retainer bolt.
  6. Remove the battery strap and retainer.
    IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  7. Remove the battery.
