Enabling Procedure

  1. Remove the key from the ignition.

  2. Connect the I/P module yellow connector (1).
  3. Install the CPA (2) to the I/P module connector (1).
  4. Install the right I/P insulator panel. Refer to Knee Bolster, Insulator, Molding Replacement - Instrument Panel in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Install the Air Bag Fuse.
  6. Install the cover for the underhood fuse center.
  7. Use caution while reaching in and turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

    The AIR BAG indicator will flash then turn OFF.

  8. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle if the AIR BAG warning indicator does not operate as described. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information.
