Circuit/System Description

The battery current sensor is a 3 wire hall effect current sensor. The battery current sensor monitors the battery current. The body control module (BCM) supplies the sensor voltage, which is shared with the dimmer control of the headlamp switch. The signal circuit is an input to the body control module (BCM). The sensor creates a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal of 125 Hz and varies the duty cycle. Normal duty cycle is between 10-90 percent. The signal circuit is an input to the body control module (BCM). If the duty cycle is outside of the range of 4-96 percent, DTC B1516 sets.
