Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering column.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: A new steering wheel attachment nut must be used.
  2. Install a NEW steering wheel attachment nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the steering wheel nut to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. If connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the SIR inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
