Installation Procedure

  1. Install the throttle body gasket.
  2. Install the throttle body and throttle cable bracket.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the throttle body mounting bolts and nuts.
    1. Tighten: 
      • Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
      • Tighten the throttle body nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Connect the throttle and cruise control cables.
  5. Connect the throttle position sensor (TPS) and the idle air control (IAC) electrical connectors.
  6. Connect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connection.
  7. Connect the fuel pressure regulator hose to the throttle body and fuel rail.

  8. Connect the air inlet tube and air cleaner assembly.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
