Installation Procedure

  1. Move the stabilizer bar into position from the right side of the vehicle.
  2. Install the stabilizer bushings on the stabilizer bar with the cut line facing rearward.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the stabilizer bar clamps and bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Connect the stabilizer links to the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  5. Install the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Replacement in Power Steering.
  6. Install the rear transaxle mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Manual Transmission/M86 Getrag, or Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Automatic Transaxle/AF23-5, or Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear in Automatic Transmission/VT25-E.
  7. Install the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
