Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .

  3. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor harness connector.
  4. Loosen the air cleaner top cover screws.
  5. Remove the top air cleaner cover.
  6. Remove the air cleaner filter from the lower air cleaner housing.
  7. Inspect the air cleaner filter for dust, dirt and water contamination.
  8. Replace as necessary. Refer to Maintenance Schedule in Maintenance and Lubrication.
