Idle Relearn Procedure: Procedures

  1. Ensure that the following conditions are met:
    • Vehicle speed is zero MPH.
    • Accelerator pedal angle is less than 14.9 percent.
    • Battery voltage is greater than 10 volts.
    • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is 41-212°F (5-100°C).
    • Intake Air Temperature (IAT) is greater than 41°F (5°C).
  2. Turn ignition off for 30 seconds.
  3. Turn ignition on, with engine off for 60 seconds.
  4. Turn ignition off.
