Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Reset - Procedure 05

CHANGE OIL SOON light will come on when engine oil has broken down enough to require changing. The oil change interval is based on mileage, engine revolutions and engine operating temperature. After changing oil, reset oil life display.
To reset light, remove underhood fuse block cover (located on left side of engine compartment). Turn ignition switch to RUN position with engine off. On L-Series and VUE, press and hold the Red Oil-Reset button for 5 seconds. On S-Series, press and hold the Red Oil-R button for 5 seconds.
On all models, if the CHANGE OIL SOON light is flashing, the system is reset. The light will flash for up to 30 seconds or until the ignition is turned off. If the light comes on again and illuminates for 30 seconds at the next ignition cycle, the system did not reset. Repeat reset procedures.
