Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Removal  .
  2. Separate the coolant tank hose from the underhood fuse box (UHFB) cover.
  3. Release the tabs on each end of the UHFB and roll towards the engine.
  4. Remove the bolt securing the UHFB to the battery tray.
  5. Separate the UHFB harness from the harness loops on the body.
  6. Remove the negative battery cable from the chassis stud on the sheet metal.
  7. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the battery tray to the chassis.
  8. Lift the UHFB and remove the battery tray.
