Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement (Wagon) or Headliner Replacement (Sedan) in Interior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector on the sunroof actuator.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module.

  4. Disconnect the drain hoses from the drain spouts on the front sunroof.

  5. Disconnect the drain hoses from the drain spouts on the rear sunroof module.

    IMPORTANT: Remove the 2 center bolts last in order to help support the sunroof module to the roof ring.
  6. Remove the bolts that secure the sunroof module to the roof.
  7. Remove the 2 bolts that secure the sunroof to the roof ring.
  8. With an assistant, lower and remove the sunroof module out through the passenger side door.
