Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing & Installing Center Rear Seat Belt Retractor

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTIC in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Position the rear seat shoulder belt retractor. Install the fastener to the retractor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  2. Slide the belt webbing through the slot in the rear window trim finish panel.
  3. Install the panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf in Interior Trim.

  4. Route the rear seat belt through the C-pillar trim panel slot.
  5. Install the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper .

  6. Position the rear seat shoulder belt to the C-pillar. Install the fastener.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the upper fastener cover to the shoulder belt.
  8. Install the rear seat bolster. Refer to Seat Back Bolster Replacement - Rear Split Folding in Seats.
  9. Install the rear seat cushion into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear in Seats.

  10. Install the center shoulder belt into the buckle.
  11. Test the rear seat shoulder belt to ensure proper operation.
