Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing & Installing Front Seat Belt Guide

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTIC in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the safety belt guide and fastener.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  3. Position the shoulder belt behind the shoulder belt retainer.

  5. Attach the center pillar molding assemblies to the vehicle by firmly by pushing at the clip locations.
  6. Install the center pillar molding fastener and plug.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the retractor fastener.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  9. Install the retractor plug.

  11. Install the height adjuster fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  13. Install the center pillar outside weatherstrip.
  14. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.

  16. Using a flat-bladed tool, install the weatherstrip over the center pillar lower molding and the rocker panel molding
  17. Test the shoulder belt to ensure the proper operation.
