Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the seat back to the seat cushion frame and install the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  2. If the seat back cover is being replaced, transfer the seat cover upper wire to the new seat back cover.
  3. Install the seat back pad to the foam.
  4. Install the pad backing to the tabs on the seat back frame.
  5. Install the seat back cover trim starting at the top.

  6. Install the head restraint guides to the seat back frame.

  7. Snap the seat back cover wire to the wire retainer.
  8. Install the remaining seat back cover trim by folding the trim down.

  9. Connect the hook retainers to the seat back cover bottom.

  10. If equipped, install the lumbar knob by pushing firmly on the knob.

  11. Install the inner recliner cover and fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 25 N.m (22 lb in).

  12. Install the outer set finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner)  or Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) .
  13. On manual seats, install the recliner handle. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Handle Replacement - Front .

  14. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
