Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing/Installing Front Seat

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  2. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement .
  3. On manual seats, remove the recliner handle. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Handle Replacement - Front .
  4. Remove the outer seat finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner)  or Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) .

  6. Remove the fasteners from the inner recliner cover and remove the cover.

  8. If equipped, pull firmly on the lumbar knob from side to side.

  10. Disconnect the hook retainers from the bottom of the seat back cover.
  11. NOTE: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.
  12. Fold the seat back cover over the top of the seat back to expose the seat cover wire.

  14. Unsnap the wire from the wire retainer to disengage the seat back cover.

  16. Remove the head restraint guides by compressing the tabs while pulling up on the sleeve.
