Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock Solenoid: Removal

  1. Disable the SIR system. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. Remove console. See CONSOLE ASSEMBLY  .
  2. Disconnect BTSI solenoid harness connector. See Figure .
  3. Using a screw driver, disconnect plastic retainers at solenoid base and at the park lock lever. Remove solenoid from shifter assembly. See Figure .
